Something Borrowed {Dallas-Plano-Frisco Wedding Photographer} Johnita Salerno

Something Old, Something New, Something Borrowed, Something Blue
As a photographer, I enjoy seeing the wedding day blossom into the beautiful day that has been planned by the bride and groom. Usually when I come into the picture (I know the pun), the colors may not be selected, the favors are ideas, and the cake is definitely not tasted. It is fun to see how the bride and groom's personalities come through on the wedding day.

It has been a lifetime ago that I planned my wedding, however, I still daydream through the bridal magazines, websites, and books. It seems more resources are available to brides now from printing your own invitations to making your own favors. Handmade is the new trend and I love a good handmade find. So when I saw these little birds nest, I feel in love. They are modern with a kiss of vintage. Attach it to a ring pillow and the love birds can take flight.

Happy New Year and

are Congratulations in order??? The Holidays are a great time for engagements. The excitement builds and the to-do list starts spinning around in your head. Where do you start?? More importantly, what will you remember?

The cake is gone, your dress put away, your flowers have faded, yet photographs still help you relive those cherished moments years after the grand event.

Things to think about when planning your day.
1. Seeing each other before the ceremony for photos
2. Time of Day for the wedding
3. Having your makeup professionally applied for the day...even if you are wearing light coverage
4. Use your photos for favors for the guests
5. Colors and Dresses flattering for the bridal party
6. Trends come and go...be true to yourself
7. After selecting date and venue, get your photographer booked :)
8. How you will display your photos in your home together
9. Relax and let your photographer guide you
10. Have Fun!!
